Introduction to Layers

The PhotoShop Layers Palette is used to accomplish many image compositing tasks. The objective for this lesson is to learn how to exploit the layer stack in order to arrange multiple images and objects on the canvas. In this lesson, students will detach the pear and rose image from solid, white backgrounds. Then they will build the composite displayed below by adding new layers and arranging these layers in the Layers Palette. Additional lessons include the introduction of several tools within the Toolbox.
